EPEDIOMOLOGY OF COLORECTAL/COLON CANCER IN MALAYSIA

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is an important medical condition worldwide and in Malaysia. Based on WHO in 2012, CRC is the fourth leading cause of the cancer death worldwide.



In Malaysia, colorectal cancer is the most common cancer in males and second most common in females based on 2006. 




Based on major ethnic in Malaysia, Chinese is the top followed with Malay and last is Indian.

Based on age in Malaysia, with increased of age of people, it will increased the risk of having colorectal cancer. People with age over than 70 years are the most prevalent.

the most common sites of colon that experience cancer is rectum. So that is why the most common colon cancer is colorectal cancer.
